A Fine Regency Period Rosewood Card Table
About this piece
This elegant card table crafted from exotic rosewood veneers and solids glows with a newly revived French polish. The hinged top swivels 90º and opens book style, revealing the green baize playing surface below which is a shallow storage area. The central block columnar support tapers downward to join four sabre legs with carved acanthus knees, terminating in their original brass lion’s paw caps and castors. England, Circa 1810.
